WHERE DO WE HARVEST?

 

Our objective is to articulate research that, using pragmatic and praxiological theoretical contributions, analyze the way in which innovative social practices (from production to consumption) are redesigning the dynamics of food systems.

 

ON THE MENU

 

SOPAS has three lines of research:

  • Diets - This line focuses on the analysis of food practices associated with the emergence of new diets, such as vegetarianism, flexitarianism, raw food, locavorism, climatarianism, among others.

 

  • Innovations in food systems - This line includes research aimed at analyzing innovative practices in the production, processing, distribution, commercialization, preparation and consumption of food, such as: dark kitchens, artificial meat, deliveries; restoration, etc.

 

  • Social movements, justice and food democracy - The focus of this line is the practices driven by contemporary food movements: agroecology, politicized consumption, veganism, freganism, etc.
