Theory of social practices and sociology of food: methodological challenges facing pragmatic perspectives
The general objective of this research is to analyze the principles and methodological assumptions that the Theory of Social Practices can adopt, or has been adopting, in its empirical research, within the subfield of the sociology of food. To compile and systematize the scientific articles connected to the subfield of the sociology of food, from the broad field of knowledge of Social Sciences, verifying the use of data collection and analysis tools, but mainly the premises and assumptions used in the operationalization of the Theory of Social Practices in the face of the investigated empirical realities. Contribute with a critical reading regarding the use of the Theory of Social Practices to food issues in the field of social sciences, in order to point out its advances and deficiencies, especially from the point of view of the adopted methods. In the end, it is intended to infer principles and assumptions that contribute to the operationalization of the theory in question in the development of future research.
Teoria das práticas sociais e sociologia da alimentação: desafios metodológicos frente às perspectivas pragmáticas
O objetivo geral desta pesquisa consiste em analisar os princípios e os pressupostos metodológicos que a Teoria das Práticas Sociais pode adotar, ou vem adotando, em suas pesquisas empíricas, dentro do subcampo da sociologia da alimentação. Compilar e sistematizar os artigos científicos conectados ao subcampo da sociologia da alimentação, a partir do grande campo do conhecimento das Ciências Sociais, averiguando a utilização de ferramentas de coleta e análise de dados, mas principalmente as premissas e os pressupostos utilizadas na operacionalização da Teoria das Práticas Sociais frente às realidades empíricas investigadas. Contribuir com uma leitura crítica a respeito da utilização da Teoria das Práticas Sociais aos temas alimentares no campo das ciências sociais, no sentido de apontar seus avanços e suas deficiências, especialmente do ponto de vista dos métodos adotados. Ao final, pretende-se inferir princípios e pressupostos que contribuam com a operacionalização da teoria em questão no desenvolvimento de futuras pesquisas.
